I first started watching foreign films a few years back, well actually I had watched a few before that but that’s when I seriously got into it and started to take more of an interest in them (And by foreign films I mean subtitled). Anyway, since them I have always kept an eye out for what’s being released on the foreign scene and always write down stuff that seems interesting to me so I remember, sometimes it takes me a a while to get around to watching them, but in the end I usually do, even if I buy them and they just sit on my shelves for months, I always have something to watch and because I do that for most things I buy I don’t have the time to watch everything straight away, especially with other things going on in my life too, there is only so many hours in the day

Some good places to bookmark and read with regards to foreign releases are Twitchfilm.net, 24framespersecond.net, KoreanFilm.org, LoveHKFilm.com, FilmMovement.com and ForeignFilms.com, those are the ones I check out the most, plus I have friends who give me recommendations too. Below is a small list of good foreign films to watch in no particular order to get you started if you wish to watch some, their are many more I like but I won’t list them all. One of the things I hate is when a company only releases some of the seasons of a particular television show only to wait ages and ages for the next season or they don’t release it at all, why don’t they just release them all within a decent time frame? Either release them all or release none at all. One program I am thinking off is Cheers, yesterday I pre ordered season 9, finally it’s being released, nearly TWO years after season 8 got released! They blamed low sales of the DVD’s, but when 8 have already been released you should just release the rest, especially when it’s only 3 more seasons and not leave people hanging like that. Following on from my previous X-Files post about the new movie which showed a teaser poster that got released, today I came across some movie stills from the upcoming movie, they don’t reveal much or anything but thought I would post them. I also came across details of a new X-Files DVD being released, it features 8 episodes and is called X-Files Revelations and you can see details and the cover of that below the fold. I am always interested in seeing John Cusack films, and add the fact it’s a Stephen King story and I was definetly interested, even if quite a few of his book to movies haven’t been upto much, the premise was still interesting to me. Browsing around blogs and sites I always find stuff I am interested to see, some I am glad I saw and others not so, although I don’t always see every film I’d like, well not straight away as I always have so much to watch, but it’s always nice to have things to see and keep an eye out for.
