So following on my from previous post about future sequels it seems that a School Of Rock 2 script has been completed. Writer Mike White had this to say.

“I actually just completed a draft of what’s potentially the sequel, and I’m still, like, crying as I’m writing the script,” said White. “I try to come at it from a personal place.”

When asked for details, he replied: “I can’t tell you. I literally just turned it in. It’s a little too fresh off the boat for me to get into right now. And I don’t even know if it’s gonna be made.”

As I mentioned on the post I linked from above I wasn’t keen on this, but while I don’t think this film needs a sequel I reckon it might be okay if it gets made, have some funny parts and just be an ok film. I will go in with low expecations which will probably help, but as long as I get a few laughs here and there it probably won’t be overly bad.

Following on from my Burn After Reading Trailer post, here is the poster for the upcoming Coen Brothers movie, which I am sure will be good.

Now I am not a fan of most sequels as a lot seem to be made just for the hell of it rather than the film actually needing a sequel, and most suck, not all but most, but I was reading yesterday about the new Lost Boys film, a follow up to the 80’s classic and this is a film I think will do okay. I love the Lost Boys film and have seen it quite a few times, although not for a while (Which reminds me, must update my VHS copy to DVD), but I am eager to see this follow up, as I said I think it will be okay, but anyway below the fold is 3 pictures from the film featuring Corey (Frog) Feldman, Tad Hilgenbrink, Angus Sutherland and Autumn Reeser. Browsing around I came across news of 3 sequels that may or may not be getting made, a Donnie Darko sequel, a School Of Rock sequel, and another Beverly Hills Cop movie, does anyone want to see these films? They seem to just be more cash in on the previous movie(s) fame rather than a sequel that is needed. But with Hollywood remaking loads of stuff and churning out more and more sequels, just how stale are things? Continue Reading »

Simon Pegg gave some information on his next project while at the Cannes Film festival

Sometimes I get good feelings about films without knowing much about the film itself, and this is one of those times.Even tho it will be a different writing partner then from his previous hits, with Pegg at the helm I have a feeling that this is gonna be pretty darn funny. 

“I just finished a script with my writing partner Nick Frost, and that is called Paul, and we’re going to shoot it later this year or early next year. It’s a road movie set in America about two British comic book geeks that get into an adventure across America.”

Still recieving lots of plaudits for their last film, No Country For Old Men, The Coen Brothers are gonna be hitting the big screen again soon for what looks like another excellent film. Following on from my previous X-Files post about the new movie which showed a teaser poster that got released, today I came across some movie stills from the upcoming movie, they don’t reveal much or anything but thought I would post them. I also came across details of a new X-Files DVD being released, it features 8 episodes and is called X-Files Revelations and you can see details and the cover of that below the fold. Being a fan of the TV show I am looking foward to seeing the new X-Files film, while the first X-Files film was more like an extended episode that followed storylines from the show I am led to believe the new one will just be a standalone film, and I have high hope for it as the writing was always excellent.
